Our list of 2018 group walks is complete. Please check back for additional walks or changes to the schedule. All walks will be held rain or shine. In the event of thunderstorms or extreme weather, we may cancel or reschedule.
Each walk will last at least 1 hour. Please make sure you dress appropriately for conditions and bring water to keep yourself hydrated, especially during the summer months.

Saturday, April 21st – 10th Season Kick-Off – Led by the Walk Saint Clair! Committee – A group walk around town will begin at 11:00 am at the Historical Society led by the Walk Saint Clair! Committee.
Saturday, May 5th – Historical Walk – Led by Walk Saint Clair! and the Saint Clair Historical Society – This first time group walk begins at 2:00 pm at the Historical Society. We’re partnering up to celebrate not only the Historical Society’s 10th Anniversary being open to the public, but also WSC!’s 10th Season. Join us for a walk through town as we journey into the past and visit many historic locations.
NEW DATE! Wednesday, May 23rd – Love a Tree Walk – Led by Deb Davis – begins at 6:30 pm at the Historical Society. May 16th is National Love a Tree Day. Springtime is a wonderful time to see all of the trees in bloom. We’ll take a walk and hug a tree, unless it’s on someone’s property.
Wednesday, Maty 30th – Saint Clair – Naturally! – Led by Porcupine Pat – begins at 6:30 pm at the Historical Society – Spring is beautiful in Saint Clair and an abundance of wildlife from plants, birds, and animals share space with our community. This is a two mile easy walk to enjoy the scenes and the nature of Saint Clair.
Thursday, June 7th – Southside Scramble – led by Deb Davis – begins at 6:30 pm at Admiral Boone Park. Our Spring venture will take us through town and down through the industrial park and back. Be prepared for an almost 3-mile scramble
Wednesday, July 11th – I Went to a Garden Party in…. Saint Clair! – led by Porcupine Pat – begins at 6:30 pm at the Historical Society. Our borough has a French namesake and is exceptionally beautiful in mid-summer with thanks to our neighbors who love gardening. Join us for a two-mile tour to appreciate both flower and vegetable gardens in our community.
Saturday, July 21st – Summer Stroll – led by Deb Davis – begins at 10 am at the Historical Society. Take a mile trek through town and enjoy the beautiful sights of summer.
Saturday, August 4th – Cemetery Ridge Ramble – led by Deb Davis – begins at 10 am at the Historical Society. We’ll walk up Lawton St. to the cemeteries and follow McCord Avenue to the Wooden Keg and home. Moderate in difficulty 1.5 miles.
CANCELLED DUE TO EMERGENCY – Wednesday, August 15th – Scavenger Hunt – led by Porcupine Pat – begins at 6:30 pm at the Historical Society. A walk for all ages! “Porcupine Pat” leads you on a two mile trek in search of items on a clipboard. Where are they?! If you find them all, your name will be entered to win a local restaurant gift certificate.
Wednesday, August 29th – Woodland Terrace Hike – led by Deb Davis – begins at 6:30 pm at the Historical Society. The hike features a slow jaunt half-way up the Gun Club Hill and turning left to the Woodland Terrace Development. We’ll check out all of the new developments going on at Woodland Terrace and venture down Hancock.
Thursday, September 6th – Mill Street Jaunt – led by Deb Davis – begins at 6:30 pm at the Historical Society. We’ll head north to the electric transfer station on North Mill St. and walk south to the borough line on Caroline Avenue and then retrace our steps.
Wednesday, September 19th – Wee Ones Walk – led by Porcupine Pat – begins at 6:00 pm at the Historical Society. Your “knee high to a bread box” youngster and you will join Porcupine Pat on this one mile sensory tour of Saint Clair. We’ll learn to use our senses to explore nature in our neighborhood.
Tuesday, October 9th – Fall Frenzy – led by Deb Davis – begins at 5:45 pm at the Historical Society. A jaunt around town will have us checking out pumpkins, fall leaves, and other treats.
Tuesday, October 16th (rescheduled from earlier date) – Walk Around Town – led by Deb Davis begins at 5:30 pm at Admiral Boone Park. We’ll take an over 2 mile walk “around” the town.
Wednesday, October 31st – Spooktacularly Spooky Walk – led by Deb Davis – begins at 5:45 at the Historical Society. We’ll venture around town checking out the spooky sights including all of the ghouls and goblins and then venture up to the cemeteries for a truly spooky walk. Feel free to show up in costume.
Rescheduled – Sunday, November 18th – Mid-November Mystery Trek – led by Deb Davis – begins at 11 am at the Historical Society. Pick a card and determine our destination.
Sunday, November 25th – Pre-Tree Lighting Trek – led by Deb Davis – begins at 4 pm at 414 E. Hancock St. We’ll start our walk with some hot chocolate and venture around town and end at the annual tree lighting.
Friday, November 30th – Final day to accumulate miles.
Monday, December 3rd – Walking logs due.
Saturday, December 15th – 8th Annual Christmas Walk – begins at 6:00 pm at the Historical Society. Follow us on a joyous walk through town as we enjoy the seasonal decorations and each other’s company while taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season
Closing Ceremony – Participants will be notified by mail.
